Chronica Polonorum was first published in The Oxford History of Poland-Lithuania: Chronica Polonorum Wielkopolska Biblioteka Cyfrowa. Vladislaus II the Exile Polish: He is the progenitor of the Silesian Piasts. The chronicle is a masterpiece of the twelfth-century renaissance, and draws heavily on the heritage of antiquity.
It provided the first systematic description of the lands between the Vistula, the Don and the Caspian Sea. Through the literary means of the chronicle, Vincentius, drawing on his education and erudition which was firmly placed in the intellectual world of western Europe in the twelfth century, gives meaning to the achievements of the Poles.
Upon his return to pollonorum country, he became a professor at the Jagiellonian University, where he served as a rector eight times —and also twice as a deputy chancellor of the Academia.
