The model mech-piloting class in the game. Mech constructors can add armor and other traits, and severel sample mechs are provided. I enjoy Warcraft and Iron Kingdoms so seeing how a traditional fantasy setting moves into the ranks of steam and steel is a good thing. Running through a game of Dragonmech brings back that twinge of nostalgia from the yesteryear of tabletop battlemech wargaming.
The world of DragonMech is set in the world of Highpoint. There are many more featured fully in the Mech Manual which features mechs from 5 different factions, 5 unique undead mechs and a roughly just above 10 Specifically unique and unusual mechs. The second thing though, is it brings a fantasy setting, Highpoint, to the game with a reason to have mechs.

This is DragonMech ‘s principle “tinkerer” class. The book has four pages of ads at the end. Friday, 24th June,rulehook Mech Manual – this whets my appetite on mechs and monsters. Powers can be stacked to gain greater potency, or new functions. A character gains individual draglnmech but each device may include multiple powers. Some classes have few tweaks, and new variants and whole new classes are provided: To be fair, Goodman makes it very clear that there are numerous styles of campaigns that can be run.
The cover is color and depicts some mechs engaging in hand-to-hand combat, with bizarre creatures in the backdrop.
This rulebook introduces not just a new world but the first comprehensive d20 treatment of fantasy mechs. The classes are overall well done, though I do have questions about how the steam powers system would pan out in actual play. Unlike some mecha in other campaigns, the mecha here are unique constructs.

That’s slightly more than twice the size of the print version. If you have ever run Battletech games before, then you will not overly feel like a stranger when playing in Dragonmech.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that the material on the mechs is so revolutionary that GMs and players alike can certainly mine a plethora of resources from this product. Cool wish you covered weapons though like the steam cannons and guns.
